The 40RM units are packaged indoor air-handling units offering the ultimate in installation ease, flexibility, and versatility. Combined with Carrier 38 Series commercial condensing units, the 40RM units offer system capacities from 6 to 30 tons. The units’ multiposition design allows for vertical or horizontal installation with no modifications. Powerful fan systems allow easy adaptation to existing ductwork. Heating capability can be provided by electric heaters, hot water coils, steam coils, or by heat pump (40RMQ).

- 40RM direct expansion cooling coils are rated in accordance with ARI standard 360 when paired with Carrier 38A cooling only condensing units
- 440RMQ heat pump units are rated in accordance with ARI standard 340 when paired with Carrier 38A heat pump units
